TURNING POINTS
The Bobcats started off well, getting out to a quick 11-6 lead… The Suns would go on a run of their own as they took a 25-24 lead after one… The second quarter saw the Bobcats turn up the heat offensively while playing tough defense to take a 48-42 halftime lead… Phoenix would not go away as they battled back in the third quarter to tie the game, 72-72, at quarter’s end… In the fourth, the Bobcats could only muster three points in the first 10 minutes and a late scoring run came up short.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
The Bobcats did not get much help from their bench as they were outscored 40-14… The Bobcats were unable to rattle Suns on the defensive end, as Phoenix only turned the ball over seven times in the game… The Bobcats have been beaten up on the boards as of late but won the battle on the glass, 48-47. This was in large part due to Bismack Biyombo (12) and Tyrus Thomas (13), who combined for 25 rebounds.

BOBCATS PLAYERS OF THE GAME
Filling in for the injured Gerald Henderson (hamstring), Reggie Williams had a strong game with 21 points, seven rebounds and six assists in his first start with the Bobcats. He was able to play 39 minutes in only his third game this season.

Williams' starting backcourt mate, Kemba Walker, was equally impressive on the night. The rookie continued his strong play with a game-high 22 points, four assists, three rebounds and most importantly, only one turnover.

SUNS PLAYER OF THE GAME
Marcin Gortat had 12 points and 12 rebounds and made things tough for Charlotte to score in the paint.

INSIDE THE LOCKER ROOM
"The major problem was when (Robin) Lopez came in. We didn’t box him out, and it really just changed the whole game around. You’ve got to give them credit. They came in and dominated us (in the fourth quarter), and that was the cause of the game. We didn’t box out. I had to put my second unit in. We just didn’t come with it."

"We just missed some shots that we should have made and they came down and executed their offense and they made shots. That’s just the way it went in the second half. They really just outplayed us in the fourth quarter. He (Lopez) played well. He made some big shots down the stretch. There wasn’t much we could do. I thought we played great defense on it but he just made better plays."

GAME NOTES
Besides Walker and Williams, two other starters – Boris Diaw (13 points) and Biyombo (11 points) – reached double-figures… Walker (4 of 5) and Diaw (3 of 5) did most of their damage from the outside from the 3-point line, as they combined to shoot 7-of-10 from long range… D.J. Augustin (big toe), Corey Maggette (hamstring), and Henderson (hamstring) were inactive for the Bobcats once again.
