Bismarck, N.D., Feb. 14, 2007 – Dakota Wizards forward Quemont Greer will be in uniform for the Eastern Division team in Las Vegas during the first ever NBA Development League All-Star game on Saturday, February 17. Greer was named as a replacement for Austin forward James White who was recalled by the San Antonio Spurs and therefore is not eligible to play in the D-League All-Star game.
“Q is a great player and he deserves this honor”, said Wizards Head Coach Dave Joerger. “He has worked very hard for these honors and it’s nice to see the hard work paying off for him.”
The 6’7 forward had a season high 40 points vs. Colorado at the D-League Showcase in January while being named the D-League Performer of the Week for two straight weeks. Greer is averaging 17.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.9 assist per game.
The Wizards will host a social to watch the D-League All-Star game on Saturday Feb 17th at Stadium Sports Bar starting at 3:30 CT, $1 off pitchers and $2 off of appetizers from Sammy’s Pizza will be available during the game.
The All-Star game will be held on Center Court at NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. The game will tip off at 4 p.m. CT and will be televised live on NBA TV.
Prior to the game, East head coach Sidney Moncrief (Fort Worth) and West head coach Joe Wolf (Colorado) will choose starting lineups for their respective teams.
