Owners' Box: Looking Back At Year One - 11/12/11
On November 12, 2010, the sale of the Golden State Warriors to an ownership group headed by Joe Lacob and Peter Guber was formally completed. A few days later, the new owners were introduced to the Bay Area media before attending the Warriors 101-97 victory over the Detroit Pistons at Oracle Arena. From day one, both owners let it be known that they were committed to making the Warriors a world class organization - one that is devoted to to its fanbase and dedicated to winning.
And while both owners realize that these things do not happen overnight, they also know that one year into their ownership, the Warriors have undoubtedly entered the dawn of a new era. Tim Roye sat down with the co-owners to take a look back at their first year with the organization. Watch the special feature below:
