Q: Do you provide transportation?
A: No, parents are required to bring their child
to camp, check them in and also check them out.
Q: What if my child turns 8 years old after the camp
dates?
A: We will accept your child, as long as he turns 8 in the same
calendar year as the camp.
Q: I sent in my application and tuition payment for my
child. When and how will I know if my child has been accepted?
A: You will receive an email confirmation once
we have received payment. Please bring this confirmation with you
to the first day of camp.
Q: What kind of supervision do campers receive?
A: Campers are always escorted by their own coach
to all destinations during the day.
Q: Is there any medical/training staff at the camp?
A: We have an athletic training staff, which includes
a Nationally Certified Athletic Trainer, on duty at all times.
Q: Can my child bring electronic games, MP3 players,
television, etc.?
A: There will not be down time throughout the day
for these items so we do not recommend bringing them. We recommend
not bringing anything of value as we will also not be responsible
for lost or stolen items.
Q: Will my child be at a disadvantage if he is not very
good?
A: Campers are assigned to leagues based on both
age & ability through a draft process at camp. We
try to keep each team to a maximum of eight players and each camper
will play the same amount of time in each game. Our camp also offers
exclusive NBA game night experience opportunities that are available
to all campers. Besides learning basketball skills, campers have
the choice to learn from real NBA game night broadcasting and game
operation crew. There is something for everyone!
Q: May I change my session?
A: You are able change your session(s) at anytime
as long as space is available in the session of your choice. Please
contact us by phone or email with your request.
Q: Can I cancel my registration?
A: If you cancel your registration, you will not
receive a refund. Campers who have to cancel or leave camp due to
an illness or injury must provide a doctors note in order to receive
a prorated refund based on the number of days spent at camp. There
are no refunds if your child voluntarily leaves camp.
Q: Where is the coaching staff from?
A: The coaches are from many states with different
levels of experience-college, high school and middle school.
Q: Who are the Guest Speakers?
A: There is generally one speaker each day (Current
or former Wizards players/coaches).
Q: May I visit the camp during the week?
A: The camp is only open to parents and visitors
on the last day of camp when awards are given away.
Q: What time is registration on the first day?
A: From 8:00 am to 9:00 am. If you happen to be
running late, please do not worry. We will register your child with
no problems when you do arrive. We would rather you travel safely
than to rush.
Q: What time should I pick up my child on the last day?
A: Camp will end after the awards around 1-2pm
(subject to change)
Q: Will lunch be provided at camp?
A: Yes lunch will be provided everyday at camp by our sponsors. However, if your child has dietary restrictions please pack a lunch and provide medical allergies when registering in the medical notes/comments section.
Q: What does my child need to bring to camp?
A: We recommend that all campers bring a book bag
or duffle bag to camp that can hold all of their personal belongings
(shoes, extra shirt, camera, etc.)
Q: After registering will I be mailed information for camp?
A: Nothing will be mailed to the address provided on the registration page. You will receive a confirmation & follow up email with detailed camp information.
Q: Are there discounts for siblings, season ticket holders,
and/or signing up for multiple sessions?
A: There are early bird special, sibling, season ticket holder and multiple session discounts. Please check the Wizards Basketball Camps presented by Under Armour Homepage for a complete listing of the discounts.
